My Nov 2023 trip
Namibia between 5 Nov 2023 and 19 Nov 2023
"We had an amazing time and will definitely be using Expert Africa in the not too distant future.
As regular safari goers, this trip did not disappoint. Tom was helpful and the itinerary that we put together was perfect for us.
A lot of driving, but worth every mile we drove.
One small (petty) thing, petrol can be hard to get in Etosha, so maybe a diesel vehicle would be better."

Okaukuejo Camp

"My favourite camp in Etosha - due to the activity at the waterhole - especially at night.
Well worth the addition of the premier waterside chalets, as you can sit to your hearts content watching - all night if you want! Saw lots and lots of animals here, including 7 rhinos all at once one evening, 15 giraffe - large herds of elephants and even lions visited to take a drink and to stalk local wildlife - without success.
Camp food is fairly basic, but edible. Some staff are amazing, others need a bit more training.
We found the reception staff to be very helpful when we had a glitch - have been before and would go again.
Love this place!"

Dolomite Camp

"This is quite a drive from Okaukeujo main camp, but there are plenty of waterholes on the way - and we were lucky as saw White Rhino and several lions on the way to camp at the various waterholes - so this is worth a visit, just to see different waterholes.
The area is much less visited so sightings are viewed without the abundance of vehicles. The camp is on a VERY steep cliff. It is serviced by a buggy and we had no issues here, the buggy arrived as promised each time we ordered it.
People with mobility issues should not stay here, it is steep and a bit slippy on the slopes.
Rooms were nice, but no air-con- we were spoilt in Okaukeujo so you really notice not having it - great views from small balcony, overlooking small waterhole where we saw a black rhino, giraffe, zebra and wart hogs visit.
Food was quite good and reasonably priced - as was a good bottle of wine!"

"We returned here for the second part of our Etosha trip and again stayed in a premier waterside chalet - we weren't disappointed as so many animals come here to entertain you.
There are numerous waterholes that you are able to drive too from here, and the abundance was amazing (mid November), we even saw an African wild cat - that was a first for us.
Had a very close encounter with an Eland that ran out in front of the car - they are huge!!!
Really loved every moment and as previously said some staff are excellent and others need more training, but all in all we can't complain on any aspect of this camp and the sightings we had.
If it's wildlife viewing you want - this is a camp I would highly recommend - if its luxury you want then maybe this camp isn't for you."

"A really lovely guesthouse - well appointed as only about 5 mins from main street and pier, lovely breakfast and the room was large and spacious with a small patio outside your room.
We had visited previously and found another part of town we missed previously near the lighthouse, with nice bars and restaurants.
We felt very safe here, and people are friendly - some beggars but they are not aggressive and as soon as you tell them no - they go - which is a plus in Africa.
Would definitely stay here again."

A lovely stopover for the start and end of your trip to Namibia. Nice gardens to relax in - and a small pool if needed.
Excellent breakfast, with freshly cooked eggs to your preference.
Secure car parking, very clean- absolutely no problem in returning to this guesthouse if we visit again"
