"I cannot think of anything negative to say about Acorn House. From the moment we arrived Stewart and his staff were fantastic. Stewart sat us down and asked what we wanted to do. He came up with great suggestions. He took care of restaurants, trip tickets and car bookings and general information about Cape Town.

Great Deli on the corner. The Hop On Hop Off bus stop about a 15minute walk away. He gave us the number of cab company to use. Breakfast wonderful, lots of home made goodies, honesty bar.

It was like staying at a friend's home. I would certainly recommend it."

"Although it was only a transit hotel for us, and we didn't arrive until 6pm, very nice hotel, and great food ( a real surprise near the airport and so reasonable). Staff very nice, garden and pool lovely although we didn't have a chance to use it. Great shower with plenty of towels.

We didn't have breakfast due to our early start but there was coffee and continental breakfast available from 4am. The shuttle system worked perfectly."

"The lodge itself is lovely together with the staff. After eating in Cape Town, it was more expensive however the food was still good.

The only downside was the building works going on, They are building 22 more rooms, finishing in October 2015 and the builders started at 8am and finished at 530pm. A quiet day by the pool wasn't so quiet with banging and crashing."

"The camp is lovely, not a luxury camp but extremely comfortable. You certainly get a 'Wilderness' experience here. The staff are great and go out of their way to make your trip enjoyable. We did walking safaris, a day safari etc in parts of the park in very remote areas. The rooms are lovely, spacious, comfortable. My only suggestion would be bath robes (it gets a little chilly at 530am in the morning and after dinner pm) and a hairdryer. This is only a suggestion not a fault.

Eating together with the whole team and guests was great fun and gave a really nice vibe to the whole stay. The food is absolutely great and all home cooked. The table always looked beautiful. You do not starve there so much food!

We learnt so much from the team and would love to return."
