"Very good service from arrival to departure. Staff were very helpful and always had a smile, level of service was high. Room was large, comfortable and clean.
Food and service in the lounge and restaurant was excellent.

The location for us was good with shops within walking distance, and for using the car it was easy to go North, South, West or East while missing the main city traffic.

We had a great stay here and by the end of it didn't really want to move."

"Friendly, helpful staff and a great location, was only here for two nights and had no problems in that time. As it is on a raised location we could see whales from the breakfast table and from our upstairs room. Room was a good size, clean and well kept.

The town was an easy walk on a good path along the cliff."

"No complaints about the service here. I would say it fits in with what most people would expect from a B and B. Friendly welcome shown around, and left to get on with your holiday. Fitted in well with our plans, as we were out from breakfast to early evening.

Best to have your own transport for accessing the town. A lovely beach is accessible form the house gardens by a private gate. Unfortunately during our time here the cape weather played up so we gave the beach a miss. Plenty of things to see or do in the local area did not make this a problem for us.

We had one of the smaller rooms and it did not have a lot of storage space, if you take a lot of stuff with you on holiday it would be worth trying to book one of the larger rooms"

"Elephant House was an amazing place. We stayed here for 5 nights. Excellent staff and service. If you needed anything someone was available to help you. The room was very clean, spacious and everything you would want was there. The meals were very very good, the set 3 course evening meal was excellent. We never looked at the menu we just waited to see what was served to us. All meals were all home cooked, no fancy trimmings, excellent. The area around Elephant House was well kept and very quiet.

Every morning when we went to go to our car, someone had the exterior cleaned for us. There were plenty of seating areas around the hotel if you wanted to sit down, chill out and have a beer or read a book.

Absolutely amazing place, quiet, relaxing. The place looked and felt really old and colonial, but the owner told me he started the build process 16 years ago, and it is an ongoing process. I advised him not to change anything about the hotel, it was amazing. I would love to go back and stay there again. Thank you so much for our excellent 5 night stay."
