"Reasonably comfortable, but rooms are accessed across an open area; not so good in the rain. They were helpful in setting up a town tour for us at short notice. Manager/chef Toulouse a nice and helpful man."

"Cheerful, helpful and efficient staff. All in deal for guide, meals, drinks etc makes it simple. Relaxed ambience, comfortable rooms. Only negative observation would be that the guide's English was sometimes hard to understand."

"Very personal attention from the owner. A nice and interesting man and a good hotelier. Excellent dinner for such a small guest house. A characterful and memorable place. Would definitely go back."
Excellent
Coast and Sandwich Harbour
"Trip to Sandwich Harbour"
27 Mar 2014 • All-day excursion
Probably the highlight of our trip. The guide Ernst was both charming and highly professional. A dramatic drive along beach and dune to a remote and beautiful place, all informed by expert observation and commentary, and a quality picnic.
Excellent
Okonjima Plains Camp
"Okonjima Plains Camp review"

"The experience of seeing leopard and cheetah at close quarters was extraordinary. All professionally done.
Only negative observation was that we had not been told in advance that game drives would be charged as extras. Why charge this way when it is the main point of people going there? It would be much simpler to have an all in deal like Kulala. With extras also being charged for drinks, save for a sundowner on the game drive, it all came across as quite commercial. We want our money to be taken but in a way that makes it seem pleasant!!"

Feedback response
We're really sorry about this misunderstanding.
In the past Okonjima Plains Camp had two different rate options: one that included all meals & activities, and one that only included breakfast and dinner. For 2014, Okonjima stopped offering the rate that included activities. The choice remains available for Bush Camp.
These travellers were booked in on the new rates, without activities, and were charged accordingly. Although our communications to them were always correct, were really sorry that we didn't specifically draw their attention to how Okonjima had changed the way that they work.
