My Sep 2024 trip
Zambia and 1 other country between 5 Sep 2024 and 18 Sep 2024
Thanks also are due to Tours Africa for their assistance in Lusaka both on arrival and departure. Getting in and out of Zimbabwe would not have been possible without the help of Wild Horizons
We saw many other animals and birds not noted in this feedback but the checklists provided by Robin Pope are very comprehensive. Of particular note are crocodiles, Puku, Kidu, water buck, warthogs and numerous birds particularly eagles.

Nkwali
"Nkwali review"
Nkwali set the standard for Robin Pope Safaris, the accommodation, food and guiding were great as were the animals and birds we saw.
The one drawback for myself who is 81 years of age was using the boat to cross the river. I was not good at the assent/decent from the river but the staff were always on hand to give me assistance
Overall- highly recommended"
Tena Tena
"Tena Tena review"
The camp itself was well set out and the usual Robin Pope hospitality and game drives well up yo standard, although on one afternoon we visited the boundaries of the park which were quite barren with, in reality, little hope of finding game
The accommodation was good with a reasonable distance between tents although this make for us quite a walk to therein area.. The staff were great and catered for all our needs.
A visit from George the local bull elephant was quite and experience"
Nsefu
"Nsefu review"
Although the accommodation can be quite a bit smaller than the tented accommodation it was quite adequate.
As usual the whole experience at the camp was excellent even though it was quite close to Tena Tena and at time the drives overlapped to a small extent."
Palm River Hotel
"Palm River Hotel review"
Although it is about a 10 minute drive out of Victoria Falls the shuttle bus service provided was good. We visited the sister hotel in the town (the Ilala) for dinner which I could highly recommend.
The Palm was in a lovely setting by the Zambezi whereas the Ilala which was very nice is bugged by the noise from helicopters hovering over the falls.
I would stay in either again"

Guiding by Abraham and Innocent was superb.
The food such a high standard and every taste catered for.
It was a magical experience"
After a long flight ( we had a 6 hour layover in Doha) we were welcomed by Tours Africa at the airport and taken straight there.
I was a boutique hotel in African style and the facilities and staff were all very good.
Although we only had an overnight stay I would recommend this venue for potential travellers. In fact most of the people we met a camps had stayed there under the same circumstances. It would appear to be a travel agents recommended choice"
