My Sep 2014 trip
Tanzania and 1 other country between 6 Sep 2014 and 19 Sep 2014
We had thought that doing one safari would be enough - we were wrong!! We now have to start saving for our next one!!"

Serena Hotel Dar
"One night in Dar es Salaam"

Impala Camp
"Incredible safari at Selous Impala Camp"
The service we received was excellent, everyone was very friendly and everything was done with a smile! In particular we want to mention our guide, Andrew, whose encyclopedic knowledge of the wildlife and vegetation made every drive a wonderful lesson.
We were amazed by the range and quantity of animals seen during our stay - from the giraffe around the camp, the hippo that visited at night and the elephants which passed only yards from our tent to herds of wildebeest, impala, zebra, lion, buffalo and more
The walking safaris were outstanding - seeing both large animals (elephants) and small animals (ants) while on foot was very special.
The range and quality of the food was stunning. We had breakfast in the bush each day, two-courses at lunch and then four-course evening meal under the stars. It was impossible to go hungry at this camp! There was almost too much food!
We would highly recommend this camp and would love to visit it again ourselves (the sooner the better)"

Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel (Not currently featured by Expert Africa)
"Chilling out at the Ras Nungwi"
We thoroughly enjoyed the three days of diving with Aqaurius with great service, particularly from Cholo.
Although the breakfast and evening meals were great there was a limit in the range of food available at lunch, particularly when we were only requiring a snack rather than a full meal.
Our room was lovely, particularly with the upgrade received for our honeymoon. However, as we were very close to the sea we could often hear the waves hitting the rocks at night during high tide. It was a lovely view from the room though!
We hadn't realised that we would be so limited on times to walk in to Nungwi during the day to avoid being cut off by the tide - be aware!!"

Serena Inn
"One night in Stone Town"
As we only spent one day at the Serena there were some facilities that we didn't use.
The room was lovely with a great view out to sea and a large balcony. The safe wasn't working when we arrived and it took a chase-up phone call before it was mended and we were able to head out in to town.
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and good service."
Staff very friendly with good service.
Only had about 12 hours at the hotel so difficult to comment on much more"
