"Probably a very nice hotel but we arrived about 11 so were tired and ready for bed/too late to eat other than birthday cake they had supplied. There was a problem with the electronic door 'keys' which delayed our going to sleep.

Because we had to be picked up at 6 the hotel agreed to provide breakfast boxes - however it was evident from the tables that some people had eaten before the stated 6 a.m. Breakfast time."

"Benson and his staff were excellent and the food first class.

The only minor adverse comment was the fact that there was no walking talkie system to request staff to accompany to and from our rooms after dark nor any alarm siren (both at Dunia camp)"

"Lovely location and good rooms but not the best service on the first night.

Our driver had a word and the service was better on the second night but overall the experience was not as good as Lemala Manyara."

"We did not find the service quite as good as Lemala Manyara but had an enjoyable stay. We were located in tent 1 on the end so it felt a bit 'on a limb' from a wildlife perspective.

"Superb location for a post-safari chill out after a fairly hairy drive which will be much better when the new road is completed.

Was surprised to find so tidal such that it is not possible to swim from the private beach at low tide. Nice swimming pool though - adequate for the max 14 guests in the 7 bungalows. Only spoilt on the last morning by Marta the manager agreeing to let 6 x testosterone filled/beer swilling South African guys from a neighbouring resort to utilise the facilities who crowded out the pool and raised the noise level from its usual peaceful tranquility.

The management very kindly laid on a 'Special birthday' meal for me on the last night which was a nice gesture.

The snorkelling was good and I even got to helm the dhow on the way back."
