Activities at Little Oliver's
Game drives
Game drives are offered twice daily from Little Oliver’s in open-sided game-viewing vehicles. Our highly skilled guides will share their detailed understanding of this wilderness and all its creatures, both great and small. All vehicles have power points where you can recharge your devices and are fitted with fridges to keep your drinks deliciously frosty.
Hot-air balloon safaris
Start the day on a high note by soaring above the plains in a hot-air balloon. As the sun rises, watch the herds of elephants from above and admire the unspoilt landscape. Hot-air balloon rides are at an additional cost and are weather dependent.
Night game drives
When darkness falls, enjoy a night game drive and look for the nocturnal animals of Tarangire with a powerful spotlight, or simply turn off the engine and enjoy the stillness of the dark African night.
Walking safari
Our expert guides, accompanied by an armed national park ranger for safety, lead fascinating walking safaris that allow you to stop and examine the small things — ants, termites, dung beetles — often overlooked on a drive. Try your hand at tracking by learning to identify animal spoor and dung. And you might even have the thrilling experience of passing right by some of Tarangire’s larger animals.
