"Rothman Manor has more the atmosphere of a high-end B&B. That's not a complaint: merely a comparison between it and the other accommodation we enjoyed. The location's fine and the spread of rooms over the attractive site pleasant; our luxury room nice enough. Breakfast was adequate without being as varied and generous as elsewhere.

"Lovely guesthouse in beautiful buildings. Our room was huge and bathroom enormous! Getting the car cleaned every morning was a bonus but we did feel for the man who had to do it as we promptly took it out and got it dirty again.

Andreas was an excellent host, very willing to sort out restaurant reservations etc. We will be going back next year and will contact him in advance as places book up very quickly.
The pool looked inviting, though we didn’t try it – next time maybe!

Swellendam is a very pretty town/village which has everything you need – from high-end restaurants to the ubiquitous Spar and lots of other shops. We liked it a lot.

"Again upgraded to a lovely suite. Nice grounds with good pool and a hot tub looking over a small private nature reserve which was fun.
