Mountain View Guest House: Our full report
Mountain View Guest House is located high on a hill, overlooking Springbok.
From here you can visit the Namaqualand flower reserve, which during a few weeks in August/September is full of blossoming flowers – it’s quite a spectacle and the main reason for a stay in Springbok. There are 10 individual suites at the Guest House. Each is very luxurious and stylish but individual in its style. The rooms are very clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped (with air conditioning, a mini bar, a fridge, a TV, a hairdryer and a coffee-maker). Most have a private patio and outside you'll find a peaceful garden with indigenous plants and also a small swimming pool. The views of the mountains are very pretty from here.
Mountain View Guest House offers bed & breakfast as well as self-catering facilities (including a BBQ). However the restaurants in Springbok are not far from here and only a short drive away.
Apart from the flowers you can visit the Goegap Nature Reserve and there are also some old mines, for example the “Blue Mine" and the interesting Mining Museum or just enjoy the view.
