Kwandwe Private Game Reserve

Kwandwe is a very game-rich reserve and home to the famous ‘Big Five’.

Activities include day and also night game drives...

...as well as walking safaris with an armed guide.

There is a good population of all the species in the park...

...you may have a good chance spotting some of them.

You can also watch out for many endangered bird species in the park.

Kwandwe has something for everyone, even for the little ones...

...who can take part in children’s activities...

...where they get the chance to learn about the reserves’ wildlife.

"Cape Town to Kwandwe"

I visited South Africa between 13 Oct 2009 and 29 Oct 2009
"Thank you for guiding us through the arranging of our holiday of a lifetime! Expert Africa's advice on where to stay, suggestions on itinery and patience in putting the trip together were exceptional. In particular, the advice to stay at Kwandwe Game Reserve made the holiday for us.

The only change we would have made would have been to stay in Cape Town for a further day, but we couldn't have extended our holiday to do this - a good excuse to return in the future!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Nothing we can think of - we'll certainly recommend Expert Africa." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 12 on a South Africa trip

"A family reunion to remember"

I visited South Africa between 12 Oct 2008 and 23 Oct 2008
"An ideal venue for a family reunion with something to cater for everyone's tastes. The party included two first-timers to Africa, and two relatively old hands, all of whom were more than satisfied.

Suggestions for improvement:

Keep us informed of any special rates or deals so we can go back!" Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 10 on a South Africa trip

""

I visited South Africa between 1 Sep 2008 and 17 Sep 2008
"We had a family visit at the centre of this trip and the itinerary was built around it. Had it not been for the Stellenbosch hotel mistake this would have been a 99.5% success but the D'Ouwe dragged it down to a 98%er.

We love your holidays and the efficiency and expert kowledge you apply to getting it right for us. Long may it continue. We look forward to planning a Namibia/Botswana combo with you for 2009!

Oddly the only Okavango camp we have not wanted to return to was Sandibe also run by CCA who manage Kwandwe. We felt the Sandibe buildings similarly poorly suited to the environment. I would welcome the opportunity to talk about the Kwandwe management, the D'Ouwe Werf and Samara game." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 12 on a South Africa trip

"Our first but not last trip to S. Africa"

I visited South Africa between 30 Mar 2008 and 13 Apr 2008
"Everything worked perfectly from start to finished. All the arrangements made were perfect and the whole trip hassle free and very enjoyable.

It was a most memorable experience and one we would like to build on sometime.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Given our fantastic experience I cannot offer any advice on how you could improve! We were very impressed.

Many thanks to Claire for arranging such a perfect trip!!!!!!!" Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 6 on a South Africa trip

"A Memorable honeymoon"

I visited South Africa and 1 other country between 3 Aug 2007 and 23 Aug 2007
"Superb planning by Expert Africa, thank you so much.

Great memorable smiles on the faces of children who have nothing in this world. Shows the Brits that there are people with nothing in this world and they can still smile and not winge. Did not realise that Bic pens can be used to bargain with in the markets.

We have sent our valet at Tongabezi a Chelsea shirt with his hero printed on the back to say a further thank you and we have sent a parcel for the school in the Zambian school of Simonga, they have nothing out there. What a wonderful life experience. All Brits ought to pay a visit to Africa." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 6 on a South Africa trip
