"Surprising well organised. Two days of gorilla trekking didn't seem like too much -the two days were different experiences. The trek was not as arduous as I had feared."

"This was an incredible experience. It was thrilling from the very beginning as our trackers hacked a path into the jungle and we paused from time to time so our guide could explain the evidence that we were getting close to a gorilla family.
We had a fascinating hour with the gorillas. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, explained the behaviour, diets, family group, etc. He was even able to alert us to get ready for a chest pounding. They really know these gorillas.
I wasn’t prepared for how muddy and dense the jungle would be. I would caution anyone to wear old waterproof clothing, boots, gaiters and garden gloves (to push aside thorny plants). It is also mandatory to wear a surgical mask, which adds to the challenges of photographing these quick moving and shy animals.
A once in a lifetime experience!" Read more about this whole safari

"We spent an hour with the Kwitonda family and it was the fastest hour of my life.
We literally walked next to the whole family, the silverback included. Even though it rained the whole time and the trek was very muddy, being able to see them interact, still being so active and follow them as they moved through the mountain was an unforgettable experience!" "Wow! It is an awe-inspiring journey that leaves an indelible mark on our souls.
The opportunity to see these magnificent creatures up close is truly a privilege.
The trekking experience itself was a adventure and I don't think we could have done it without the wonderful porters and guides." Read more about this whole safari

"What an amazing experience!!! My husband has wanted to see the mountain gorillas since he was a young child, so this is one of his favorite memories of our trip.
We visited the Amahoro gorilla family with 22 members. We hiked about 1 hour and 20 minutes to the gorilla family. I was surprised at how deftly the gorillas moved through the dense jungle. During our hour with them, we saw about 15 of the gorillas, and they all moved around the entire time. It was like another hour of hiking after the 1 hour hike to find them! Our leader, Cary, and ranger, Jean Pierre, made sure each guest was safe and had many opportunities to view the gorillas. Such a great experience!" Read more about this whole safari
