Ai-Ais Hot Springs Spa: picture gallery

Ai-Ais Hot Springs Spa sits at the bottom of Fish River Canyon...
...owned and run by NWR the lodge offers 43 rooms....
...most of which are located off the main pool/spa area.
Whilst all the rooms are made up as twins...
...with a desk/dressing table...
...fridge and balcony, there are actually 3 ambiguous room types...
...'river view' rooms face the campsite, whilst 'mountain view' rooms look at a rock face...
...the 'VIP' rooms are set away from the main area and are the most spacious...
...with 2 bedrooms...
...a small lounge area...
...and a small kitchen for self-catering.
With so many rooms the the dining area is large and a little soulless...
...outside the bar isn't much better...
...with a little more thought the lodge could have utilised the location & views much better...
Away from the main area the large pool is refreshing and inviting.
There is a small shop but supplies can be irregular so don't rely on it for self-catering...
...however, more practical is the fuel station.
Whilst this is the only option in this part of the canyon...
...and works well at the end of a canyon hike it does feel a little forgotten about.
