"A great fun, good feeling experience."

Based at Sam's Giardino on 25 May 2016
"Jeanne Meintjes was the perfect hostess for this activity with her infectious good humour and obvious enjoyment of the whole experience. We had expected to just go kayaking, but instead spent a couple of delicious hours sitting on the water and playing with (mainly young) seals which surrounded us on every quarter. The seals were not shy in interacting with us and the whole experience (despite the mist and fog) was delightful. Definitely to be recommended. Jeanne even fed us rolls and coffee afterwards. The drive around the lagoon with its wonderful bird life and route past the large saltworks was, in itself, special." Read more about this whole safari

"Fun kayaking with seals!"

Based at Sam's Giardino on 25 May 2016
"We never imagined how playful the seals would be and how close they would come to your kayak. What a fun experience! They nibble on your paddle and even your hand! The time simply flew by!
Jeanne is a wonderful lady - very friendly and energetic! She reassured all guests on how to respond to the seals behaviour, especially those who had never kayaked before.
Kayaks all good quality.
The photos and videos she took are a great way to remember our experience. All provided for free! We wish her the best with her business!
Breakfast was simple but tasty (sandwiches and hot drinks)!
Unfortunately Jeanne's truck broke down on our journey home but a friendly competitor came to our rescue!" Read more about this whole safari

"Great Outing"

Based at Cornerstone Guesthouse on 1 Apr 2016
"Jeanne is an excellent guide. Her photos / film service is above and beyond what I expect on a guided excursion.

In addition to the seals we saw hundreds of flamingos, pelicans, and a few dolphins." Read more about this whole safari

"Craig was a very good guide and we had a most enjoyable morning with him, first of all birding on the drive out to Pelican Point and then the kayak trip amongst the seals.

Recommended." Read more about this whole safari

"Nice excursion, not much kayaking"

Based at Villa Margherita on 5 Jan 2016
"The trip is a great way to get up close with the seal colonies in Walvis bay and potentially even see some dolphins. However the actual amount of kayaking is limited and you don't see much else." Read more about this whole safari

"Get your fingers nibbled by baby seals"

Based at Swakopmund Guesthouse on 17 Sep 2015
"A real highlight of the trip. Jeanne who runs these kayaking trips with her husband has been doing it for years and has perfected it. Everything you might need is provided and you are guaranteed to see seals close up - baby seals will even come up and nibble your fingers if you want them to - which I did! If you are lucky you may see dolphins too. Jeanne takes photos of you in your two-man kayak and emails them to you that evening. The drive out to the launch point goes past bays full of pink flamingos. Highly recommended." Read more about this whole safari
