"Northern Namibia July 2019"

I visited Namibia between 7 Jul 2019 and 19 Jul 2019
"The trip as a whole was excellent. There were times when the roads were even worse than expected. Though thankfully in the context of a thousand mile trip these times were relatively short and were always softened by a landscape, wildlife or tarmac. The lodges were excellent, I think the reservations about Safarihoek are personal, but overall there was nothing that we would change." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 10 on a Namibia trip

"Namibia road trip 2019"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 19 Jun 2019 and 12 Jul 2019
"Amazing trip which exceeded our expectations.

All the locations were great but each had their own distinctive feel and character. The landscapes were more impressive than we had expected and it was a real thrill to get to see so many animals and birds up close.

The people throughout Namibia were very friendly and the staff in the lodges were all very welcoming and made us feel at home. Even things like car hire went very smoothly, with great service from the Bidvest staff.

We highly recommend Namibia as a fantastic destination and will definitely be using Expert Africa for any other African adventures which we may have.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The only thing I would change would be to hire a Toyota 4x4 or double cab next time.

The Nissan X Trail wasn't really robust enough for some of the rougher gravel roads." Read full review: 23 nights in Africa; 21 on a Namibia trip

"Outstanding trip full of highlights"

I visited Namibia between 5 Jun 2019 and 20 Jun 2019
"I finally made the trip to Namibia and am full of praise of it.

The arrangements by ExpertAfrica were made with knowledge and experience which made a solo trip rather easy and worry free. Despite the serious drought Namibia is a beautiful country with much to offer. Wildlife, varied scenery, ancient cultures and friendly people everywhere were the main highlights.

I wished I had allowed more time for the trip. I am thus thinking of coming back as soon as I can and visit other places not included in this trip." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

"A brief taste of Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 21 May 2019 and 30 May 2019
"We chose Namibia as we need somewhere that could accommodate a relatively short trip, and where we could also do some activities/lodges that, although wildlife-focused, would provide a different experience or environment from other safaris we have done in Southern & East Africa. We therefore had a slightly unusual itinerary (no Etosha, and the south of the country simply wasn't possible to do as well in the time we had). I do feel like we will probably have to come back, as everyone kept telling us how amazing the desert was! But the places we visited were all very good and we certainly had some new and very interesting experiences.

The self-driving was a bit of new concept for us (on African trips I have only driven in South Africa before as most safaris in Zambia, Kenya etc are not practicable for self-drivers) but, although the drives were long and everything seemed to take a bit more time than I expected, the roads were no worse and in many case much better than they are in South Africa." "Excellent memories"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 17 May 2019 and 31 May 2019
"A good blend of self drive and guided, the trip delivered on all we wanted, both animals and birds.

We enjoyed Botswana and the fellow guests we shared with quality time with.

I would not recommend anyone doing three flights in a day starting in Windhoek, maybe we should have stayed overnight in Jo'burg, not something | thought of, before flying on to Maun and beyond.

Thanks again to Tracy for making it all happen without any problems." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 9 on a Namibia trip

"Namibia 2019"

I visited Namibia between 26 Mar 2019 and 6 Apr 2019
"I was so pleased to work with Expert Africa. The main purpose of our trip was to do the Cape Epic mountain bike race in South Africa, but we wanted to stay and travel for a short time afterwards and had Namibia in mind. I bought the Bradt guidebook, but never having been there I felt lost trying to figure out a realistic itinerary. When the guidebook mentioned the option of using a tour operator to help create a self-driving trip I thought "BINGO!" I called Expert Africa and the rest is history. Megan Green was our Rep. She was a delight -- she had great ideas, and even helped me with flight suggestions even though we were booking our own flights. The process was so easy -- we went back and forth with different ideas, but rather quickly settled on a good itinerary and it all worked out perfectly. Thank you Megan!" "A fantastic holiday to Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 8 Feb 2019 and 25 Feb 2019
"We had a fantastic trip. Everything went smoothly. The driving was easy. The weather fantastic (although the Namibians would have appreciated rain - we had none!). All the lodges were great. Thank you Expert Africa for excellent advice and planning of our holiday." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"An outstanding trip, exceeded expectations "

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 5 Feb 2019 and 24 Feb 2019
"Very well put together by Expert Africa. Professional, helpful and considerate staff.

Well chosen variety of accommodation and locations. We felt we had explored and got to know a great deal of what Namibia has to offer.

Pleasantly surprised that the temperatures were manageable and thought that the low season was a good time to visit because of the lack of other visitors.

Not much rain and although badly needed it counted in our favour." Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 17 on a Namibia trip

"Stunning landscapes round Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 15 Jan 2019 and 31 Jan 2019
"Namibia is an extraordinary country most memorable for the astonishing scenery and its remoteness.

We had expected it to be under-populated, but were surprised to find most of the country devoid of humanity. It also seemed to be largely devoid of wildlife other than for the desert adapted animals in the Namib and in and around Etosha.

We stayed in a range of Lodges with differing levels of comfort, but all of them in remarkable locations, making for a very memorable journey round the country.

We were very well advised by Sabina at Expert both in terms of a practical itinerary and as regards the choice of Lodges." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip
