"This is not the kind of attraction I would ordinarily seek out, but it was very interesting to see the giraffes up close.

"We were really lucky in our visit to the Giraffe centre as it wasn't that busy when we arrived, so we were able to have a good time taking photos and handling the giraffes.

There is also a small kiosk that ran an interesting presentation on the animals in the sanctuary and then differences between the three different types of giraffes.

Set on the beautiful grounds of the Giraffe Manor without having to pay the high Giraffe Manor hotel prices.

"The Giraffe Centre provides an opportunity to learn and view the endangered Rothchild's Giraffe, for which this sanctuary is a breeding centre.

They have made substantial renovations to the facility, which make it feel bigger, however they have also expanded the barriers between the viewing platform and animals, resulting in a less-interactive opportunity than existing a couple of years ago.

You can feed the giraffe, and listen to the presentation on the animals... but ultimately an hour is more than enough time to cover everything.
