Camp Kalahari: picture gallery

Camp Kalahari is nestled amongst acacia and palm trees, on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans.
It's a simple, yet comfortable little camp...
with a traditionally built thatch library, living and dining area...
all very open plan, with plenty of places to sit and relax or read a book.
At night, the camp is lit by paraffin lanterns.
Sandy paths lead from the main area to the tents.
There are six spacious Meru tents...
all with open-air, en-suite bathrooms, leading out from the back of the tent.
The beds are high off the ground, creating a greater sense of space in the tent.
...and the en-suite bathrooms are open air
Activities include nature drives to seek out the unique desert wildlife...
the smaller animals and plants...
and the inquisitive merekats - often a highlight!
Visit the historical baobabs in the area...
walk with the wisened and knowledgeable Bushmen trackers...
and during the dry season, quad bike across the pans...
...even the game drive vehicles are a little different here
A special place to enjoy a drink with a group of like minded travellers.
