"Our trip exceeded our high expectations for bucket list safari experience. Tracy, our coordinator at Expert Africa was easy to work with and tailored the trip to meet our needs. We appreciated that she had first hand knowledge of the camps that added weight to her recommendations.

In retrospect we should have added a couple extra days with no activities planned so that we could recharge our batteries. Ideally this would have been done in Namibia due to the stratospheric high cost of the lodges in Botswana.

Our Day trip to Sandwich Harbour was fantastic, and if we had to choose we would have ranked it higher than a scenic flight over the dunes. "Everything worked out well. We started with the simplest accommodation and worked our way up as far as comfort and luxury of the camps were concerned.

Only Imvelo camps don't yet use refillable water bottles which you can either take home or return at the end of your stay.

Malcolm Lodge in Harare is also a lovely place to stay and very up to date - they knew about a flight problem we had before we did.

The transfer from Hwange Main Camp to Vic Falls arrived 30 minutes late - he was 'delayed' but we suspect the delay was visiting his home village on the way to collect us, which meant that the 2 guides who had brought us there from Somalisa had and extra wait." Overall, I think I would have had a less favorable opinion of my trip to Africa if I hadn't gone to Botswana.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The only thing that concerned us was the tipping on the Safari. We had taken enough USD to tip as per the guide, but did not expect there to be 5 people looking after us at each camp. "It was an excellent trip. We were more interested in behaviours and walking than in counting animals, so sorry for not filling in those details.

Amalinda promised a lot, but fell short on delivery. Verneys has too many elephants fighting for not much water, but the camp design and massive family tents were impressive.

"Overall it was a great trip and very well organized. Despite our booking the trip rather late EA managed to provide us a good mix of accommodation and we can honestly say that only one or two places were below average, most were excellent. Had we booked earlier I'm sure we would have been able to secure more first choice accommodation.

"We loved ever second of our trip to Botswana and Zimbabwe.

The game viewing in both countries vastly exceeded all expectations, with Chobe providing some very special highlights, while Hwange gave us a real sense of the space, variety and beauty Zimbabwe has to offer. The Matopos were also a great way to finish, giving us time to relax and really enjoy a beautiful landscape. We couldn't be happier with the schedule you suggested - just perfect!
