My Aug 2013 trip
Zambia between 10 Aug 2013 and 22 Aug 2013
Arranged By Claire Scott

Nkwali
"Nkwali camp has a great position"

Robin Pope Safaris Mobile Safari Camp
"Walking safari in South Luangua"
Our guide, Bertram, was outstanding. The whole team of staff worked hard and well together to deliver a very high quality of service. The set-up, tents and positioning of the camps was perfect and the quality of the food was exceptional - more so because they produced an entirely wheat free menu including cakes baked in the earth oven!
On balance, we would have preferred to have walked a bit further each day and not to have been picked up in the jeep after sun-downers each evening (ie to have ended the evening walks in the camps).
The drive to the walking area on the first day was the least enjoyable bit of the whole experience but this should be read in context of us having had a wonderful overall experience: 4 hours in an enclosed vehicle with a choice of sweltering with windows closed (aircon not working) or attack from numerous tsetses coming in the windows."

Tena Tena
"Animals and birds abound at Tena Tena"
There is so much wildlife to see and numerous beautiful spots not far from the camp. We very much appreciated the overall respect for the wildlife - ie no chasing or speeding or off-roading or parking very close."

Taj Pamodzi Hotel, Zambia (this camp has since closed)
"Taj Pomodzi Hotel review"
We didn't really have any time to enjoy the facilities."
