A really memorable holiday
Tanzania and 1 other country between 29 Jan 2011 and 8 Feb 2011
"Fantastic!
Selous and Ruaha gave us the variety of countryside and wildlife we wanted, and we thoroughly enjoyed the tented camps. A few relaxing days at Unguja made the perfect end to our trip. We loved Tanzania and the people we met.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
Your service was excellent, especially in one way that you do not ask about: we were not sure which country we wanted to visit, and our ideas were quite vague to start with. Your team were very skilled at questioning me, proposing ideas and narrowing the choices down gradually. This plus the layout of your website helped us make the right choice.
I am happy for you to contact us by email but I would rather not receive regular brochures; they often get thrown away, so are such a waste of paper."

"Wonderful country, green with lots of trees, and a very remote camp (2 hours drive from the airstrip).
One had to drive further to see game than in Selous, but we really felt we were in the wild. The only minus was the tse tse flies in some areas. Burning elephant dung proved effective! Great hospitality from Nicole and Giles and very good food, especially considering how remote it was. Spaciously laid out camp and very comfortable, clean bug free tents.
Plenty of wildlife (elephant, lion, leopard, and again our guide and driver (Chombo and Nite) were very good company and excellent at spotting game. We agree with your advice not to take a walking tour here: we would not have felt safe with the Park's guides and it is much more remote."

"What a delightful place! and well worth the hour's drive from the airport.
The most imaginatively designed huts with deep thatched rooves and white plaster curved interiors. They feel very spacious, and it feels as if there are only a few people there. This plus the warm welcome from Elies and Ralph gave it a personal family feeling. Excellent food and service and very relaxing.
Although it only has a small beach, at high tide you can step straight into the sea, and I went snorkelling with the dive team at nearby reefs. Altogether a very relaxing few days, and we agreed, a place we would love to return to"

Our guide Emmauel and driver Bacari were good company and were very keen to find the animals for us , and also gave good info on birdlife and flora. We saw very few other vehicles. A lovely welcome in the camp from Sara and her staff, and we especially liked the tented bar/dining area. We enjoyed the river and lake trips, seeing lots of hippos and crocs. Plenty of good food, just a little heavy sometimes.
Tents were comfortable, spotless and bug free! The actual location of the camp was great, the only minus being a deeply rutted track in some places which made access quite uncomfortable."
