A fantastic experience - all we hoped for!

"Our 'holiday of a lifetime' was just that! Our experiences in the Delta were unforgettable - great accommodation and fantastic guiding.
The tranquility and beauty of being out on the water in a mokoro; a close encounter with a hippo; driving through 1m of floodwater to reach the camp; tracking lions; spotting a leopard on a night drive; and the total darkness with no electric lights visible other than those at our camp...........Our memories will stay with us for ever. And then the number of animals at Muchenje! Elephant, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, hippos, antelope ....... it was amazing!
With hinsight, it was definitely a good choice to experience the Delta first and visit Chobe National Park second. Our boys loved the thrill of tracking and searching in the Delta, but then welcomed the opportunity to be so close to such a huge numbers of animals at our final camp.

"The accomodation and service were more rustic than the other lodges we visited, but the competence and friendliness of our guides more than made up for this.
Our guide, Dix, was brought up as a bushman and he communicated his wealth of experience in an interesting and understandable way. Our tracker, Carl, was excellent, helping our 12 year old twin boys understand so much about African wildlife.
Overall, the guiding and the other activities (mokoro, fishing and boat trips) were amongst the best of our stay."

"A fantastic setting with a wealth of wildlife"

"The accomodation and location were excellent - the views over the floodplain were stunning, with more animals than you could count.
Whereas our experiences in the Delta were more about tracking and the reward of finding the animals, here at Muchenje the animals were just there, in front of you, wherever you went! Muchenje was an excellent choice as the final camp on our trip.
The all-day safari including the boat trip was a fantastic experience, and JJ's explanations during a game drive made the place come alive. The only thing that would have made the trip better would have been having a single guide for all our activities, enabling us to build up the same kind of rapport as we had with our guides in the Delta camps."

This was the best possible introduction to the Delta area."
