Lebala Camp
"Honeymoon at Lebala"
Thabo & Bowman were excellent guides and we highly recommend them.
You will be well looked after at Lebala and would recommend it as part of a camp-hopping journey. The balance of (relative) creature comforts in the rooms with the communal eating led to a relaxed and friendly experience."

Kwara Camp
"Honeymoon at Kwara"
The waterside location affords extra activities and both the mokoro and delta-boat trips were very special experiences. The hosts at Kwara (Thuso and Janet in particular) really do go the extra mile for their guests and put on a private dining experience to celebrate our last night in the bush, and we were sad to leave the lovely people and their wonderful camp.
The only real surprise at the Kwando camps was that there were no other English guests whilst we were there. Not a problem at all, just a little unexpected."

Tongabezi
"Honeymoon at Tongabezi"
After the experiences we had on our honeymoon (Azura Mozambique and camps in Botswana), Tongabezi really raised the bar!!! A stunning location on the hippo-infested Zambezi with outstanding facilities and quite brilliant cuisine. The "Nut House" where we stayed is probably the most amazing place we will EVER stay.
We wished we could have had longer to spend enjoying Tongabezi as we spent a lot of time enjoying the wonderful activities that the Zambezi has to offer at Livingstone, in particular the white water rafting with Bundu Adventures and the helicopter trip which both come highly recommended."
We understood from guides we met in Botswana that Mozambique is "locally" renown for windy conditions in August, so it might be better to avoid this time if at all possible, although we did get the only 4 days of "winter" that they had.
There isn't a great deal else to do on the island if you can't get out on the boats, other than sit back, relax and enjoy the brilliant food and wine. So, not so bad!
On our action packed last day, we did cram in a lot of the activities and Pansy Island is not to be missed. The opportunity to share a private lunch on a deserted sandbar is something that is almost certainly a once in a lifetime experience.
Special treats and personal touches galore to supplement the wonderful food and the great service. You will love it. Just hope it's not too windy!"
