"Many thanks to Expert Africa for good advice and arranging a truly superb trip to Tanzania. A great place to bring teenage children.
We will certainly be back to Africa."

Mwagusi Safari Camp

"Everything about this sociable camp is authentic and first rate. The guides are enthusiastic and very well trained, the food is great, the bandas a delight. The location at a bend of Mwagusi sand river allows for lazy afternoon game viewing. Evenings under the stars are pure theatre.
Animals in Ruaha NP seem relaxed around vehicles. This means that the longer you stay the more interesting behaviours you will get to see. We stayed three nights and were sad to leave.
We all agreed that Mwagusi Camp was the highlight of our trip to Tanzania."

Chumbe Island Lodge

"We packed the walks and a couple of snorkelling trips into one day here. It is great to know that by staying here you are directly supporting the conservation of this remarkable little island and marine park. The coral here is very beautiful, and the inter-tidal walk is fascinating.
There are a couple of places where the "eco" thing should probably be relaxed a little:
(1) you need flashlights. An oil lamp outside the huts in the evenings would be nice.
(2) bring insecticide. the inside of the mosquito nets if you want to avoid being bitten."

Fumba Beach Lodge
"Fumba Beach Lodge review"
2 nights
Arrived

"A good place to relax. The kids enjoyed the "resort" feel. To me Fumba felt more commercially oriented than other places we stayed at in Tanzania. Sometimes unsure whether I was in Spain or not.
I regretted not taking the Safari Blue trip in full day we had here."

Selous is a very beautiful reserve. The game is concentrated and plentiful. While some of the animals (e.g. zebra) are shy compared to Ruaha National Park, we saw more species at Selous including the African Painted Dogs."
