"Excellent location literally five minutes walk from the falls. Staff friendly and service good. Room fine and we liked the pool and bar area.

Our only dislike was that there was only the good but expensive three course buffet for evening meal apart from room service; we would have liked something between the two."

"We loved everything about Tafika.

The expertise of the guides was everything we'd hoped for; we enjoyed every single drive and walk and they contrived to make each one a different experience by rotating the guides and spotters and taking us to different areas. Because of the length of the drives, and perhaps because our stay was a bit longer than average, we really felt we got to know several of the guides well and to understand a bit about the lives of the local people from what they told us.

The accommodation was very comfortable and most attractive, the food was excellent, but most importantly the staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Everyone was genuinely concerned when Alice was unwell for a couple of days (she had picked up a flu-type bug, probably on the plane) and found us appropriate medication, re-organised transfers to the bush-camp etc."

That was what I wanted from a walking safari; genuine natural history, not just big cats etc.

We found this camp even more attractive; maybe because there is an even stronger sense of being genuinely not separated from the bush. There is something very special about lying in a hammock watching the Puku and Impala, then warthogs and finally elephants wandering past!"

"Efficient and friendly 'front of house', especially the man who organised getting everyone to the airport. But the food was not very good and the service in the restaurant was distinctly average eg when we arrived we were offered tea but there was no milk and none appeared when requested, there was no tea or coffee after the evening meal, which came with veg instead of salad, various choices at breakfast had run out etc.

Overall as a stopover it was convenient and reasonably priced, and the room was comfortable if a little characterless, but I can not imagine wanting to stay there except to get to the airport."
