Safari an amazing time
Zanzibar and 1 other country between 4 Sep 2010 and 15 Sep 2010
"We had a wonderful trip. Expert Africa were extremely good and everything was organised to a high standard. We experienced no problems at all.
Our Safari in the Selous game reserve was truely amazing with so many great memories. I can not recommend it enough.
Zanzibar was interesting and an eye opener to how a lot of people live.
Thank you Expert Africa.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
I also had contact with Liz Wollen [Ed: one of the Expert Africa team] who was also very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble even when I changed my requirements in my initial enquiry. Everything was organised and detailed perfectly.
Thank you Expert Africa. I would have no doubts in recommending anyone to you."

"White sands, beautiful clear blue sea, palm trees with hammocks, a truely lovely setting. On our arrival to our room we received a bowl of fruit, sparkling wine on ice and a lovely message congratulating us on our Silver Wedding Anniversary, a very welcoming touch.
The rooms were nice (we were given the family cottage, even though there were only 2 of us) it was spacious and clean, the bathroom had 2 showers and was certainly big enough for a family of 4. The water from the showers is slightly salty but we didn't find that an issue. The main bedroom and bathroom were a little on the dark side as the whole cottage was under a thatched additional roof and therefore not allowing much natural light in, but not much time is spent in the rooms. There is no safety boxes in the rooms which we found a little inconvenient but there is one large safe at the reception area that you have to ask a member of staff to get your posessions from. You can access this between 7.30am and 8pm.
The dining area is quite large and has a lounge area at one side with comfy chairs, bar serving a wide variety of drinks and an endless cocktail list.
The food was very interesting and varied. The staff were pleasant and efficient.
All in all it was a lovely place to spend a few nights totally relaxing in paradise surroundings."

"A delightful hotel"

"This is a lovely looking hotel with beautiful decor. Our room was on the 3rd floor so there were a few steps to climb. I'm not sure if there was a lift or not. The room was of a nice size and comfortable. The bathroom was pretty small with the toilet so close to the sink you could wash your face at the same time. The shower was of a morrocan/persian style with an hand held type shower head on the wall. We did get a strong musky smell and a few times a sewage smell which wasn't too pleasant.
We did have an evening meal at the hotel which was a bit to be desired and only had 1 breakfast (we were only there for 2 nights) again nothing special.
The hotel is in a good location and is a few steps away from the Africa House Hotel in which you can have drinks on the balcony and watch the sunset. (Drinks very pricey though) Overall this hotel is pleasant and we did like the decor."

Our guide Dennis, who we had to ourselves, was very knowledgeable and had the sharpest eyes when it came to spotting some of the animals. We had the opportunity to do boat and walking safaris as well as the drives. It was very flexible. The tents were very comfortable and clean. The Maasi guards were on hand at all times to escort us to and from the main area. The managers Barbara and Andre were very hospitable too.
To wake up in the morning with the wonderful sounds of the hippo just down the bank and the snapping of the crocodiles jaws catching fish as well as the amazing birds was more than we could've imagined.
On our last night we were given a table set up away from the others with our own little fire with our last dinner ending with a song from our personal waiter Mohammad (a lovely genuine guy) along with the other waiters and presented with a delicious Annivesary cake. They were all truely wonderful people, we, as well as all the other guests, were made to feel really welcome. Even Brian the resident giraffe was an amazing sight to see everyday.
I would certainly recommend this camp to everyone. We couldn't have wished for more (except to have stayed longer)"
