Amazing Homeymoon
Tanzania and 1 other country between 24 Aug 2009 and 8 Sep 2009
Zanzibar was a wonderful end to the honeymoon staying at a few different places was nice, the trips organised through the hotels were very expensive so I would in future organise them through fishermans tours before we go (in the end we organised a tour through fishermans whilst we were at the ponge)
The logistics of being picked up and dropped off at where we were suposed to be was near perfect, the only slight worry we had was on the last day when we were being taken to the airport when we didnt know when we were supposed to be picked up but after asking a few people how long it would take to get to the airport for the early morning flight we had a rough idea.
Overall Would recommend expert Africa to anyone, they gave us a perfect homeymoon
Suggestions for improvements:
Nothing. It was perfect thankyou"

Lake Manze Adventure Camp

Impala Camp
"Selous Impala Camp review"
As we had to pack so light we really liked the fact that there was a complementary washing service. It was also great that we had the same guides for the 4 days that we were there. The only negative things we would say is that although the staff were wonderful we felt that they had been drilled with what to say to guests and didn't seem as happy as the staff at the lake Manze camp (maybe a little repressed?)
The guides were great and completely went out of their way to ensure that we got to see the animals that we wanted to see. Something to note is that there was a $15/pp charge for fishing at this camp (unlike the lake Manze camp), however this was a very enjoyable activity."

Mchanga Beach Lodge, Zanzibar (this camp has since closed)
"Mchanga Beach Lodge review"
Overall though this was a really wonderful place to stay. We did go on a snorkeling trip (organised through the lodge) (some of the trips are expensive and it worth organising trips via fishermans tours before you go these are significantly cheaper than those offered at the lodge) which was really good fun and would recomend going if you get a chance"

Pongwe Beach Hotel
"Pongwe Beach Hotel review"
On arriving we found a bottle of Carva on ice which was a really nice touch, the beach was cut off from the rest of the area when the tide came in so you wouldnt get pestered by people. The food was good and it was nice to beable to have evening dinner on the beach.
Overall really loved this place, nothing bad to say about it."

Beyt al Salaam
"Beyt al Chai review"
Did go to the resturant which was really nice, it was recommended to me before we came and it was really nice, a little pricey when compared to other resturants in the area but not horrendous"
The tents were lovely, the lack of electric and community dining was nice. Staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Guides were knowledgeable but sometimes had to be prompted for extra information.
The only negative thing we would say is that it would have been nice to have been told about the different activities which were available to us rather than having to find out from other guests."
