"Excellent guiding from the manager Bryan
Very good for photography with good advice from guide
Excellent accomodation
Superb food, especially lunch
Excellent game...we saw 4 leopard in approximately 24 hours. In the 2 1/2 days before we arrived, there had been 17 leopard seen! We also had good lion sightings as well as wild dog on the hunt...a memorable experience. Very good close up experiences of elephant, including in camp. Also lots of giraffe around.
Another highlight was watching 2-300 crowned cranes coming in to land in the morning
Highly recommended and one of the best experiences we have ever had in sub Saharan Africa
The absolute highlight however was the Microlighting with the owner John Coppinger. This is an absolute MUST DO. $110 for 15 minutes. A bargain"

Chongwe River Camp

"An idyllic setting at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambesi rivers.
Excellent rooms with a very high standard of service.
Food very good with nice wine.
We really enjoyed the fishing for both tigerfish (biggest 8lbs) and bream. The tigers are catch and release. We did enjoy eating the bream as bar snacks...very tasty. On our last day, another guest in our boat hooked a huge Vundu catfish which he landed after 30 minutes or so. Not able to weigh but estimated at 80-100 lbs. It was 5 feet long with a head the size of a large shovel. Davey the guide wa svery helpful
We also enjoyed the canoe trip on the Zambesi.
We were somewhat disappointed by the game viewing although we only did one long drive.
For us, this is a place to end your trip and relax on the river."

Food very good but excessive! Breakfast in the Ebony grove was another highlight
As advertised, staff and vehicles well equipped for photography eg bean bags
Many thanks to Derek for opening up the carmine bee eater hide whilst we were there"
