Life changing trip - Zambia Sept 2024

"Absolutely life changing. Although, it wouldn't have been possible without Amanda, and I am extremely grateful for her help and kind guidance on what to take and the programme once I was there. Also, I had a quick question once there and this was answered immediately by Amanda .
There is no highlight to this trip - the ENTIRE trip was the highlight and one to be repeated. This is an experience that no amount of money would ever cover what it has given me. I have never been so connected to the earth.
More about the trip - words cannot express enough thanks to Expert Africa and Robin Pope Safaris. I have been out with guides who are in the premier league of what they do, the hospitality staff also - people who take real pride in their jobs. This holiday has not only left an imprint, but I have made friends who I will see again. Please note that this is not a colonial style 'big 5' lets drive around the park in a jeep and mark animals of our list - this is a true class act. Nothing too much trouble.
I would also encourage other guests to interact with the guides and other staff to get a real insight to life in Zambia. Also, would really advise Robin Pope to look after the catering / facilities staff as these guys are so brilliant that they could work anywhere.
It was clear to me on the trip that Expert Africa, Amanda had made sure I was more prepared for the trip than other agents had with their guests. Whilst it is not a competition, Expert Africa deserves to be in business and I will be booking again and really suggest you do the same."

"Excellent welcome from Sebastian at the airport did the transfer to the camp where we were met with welcome drinks, excellent information given on the rooms and safety and general instructions for the logde.
Sebastian was the allocated guide for the drives that I did and he was brilliant, excellent knowledge, absolute professional. All of the staff at the lodge were excellent, Kiki, Tizi, Bianca and Benson to name just a few.

"The absolute best thing I will probably do (unless I do this again!). Brilliant, unique experience from start to finish.
Jason, the guide was excellent and really shared his knowledge and entertained the group. The more junior guide, Kamisa was excellent at spotting wildlife, answering questions and was supportive. Max and the guys at the camp couldn't have done better, I feel very humbled to have been on this trip.
Excellent food, excellent waiting staff, the chef and baker were faultless - quite how the chef and the baker produce the food they do is puzzling. Hand baked treats at tea time in the morning & afternoon cakes and canapes in the evening, - I have never been so impressed. The attention to detail, such as warm water to wash your face in the morning and the way the tents were pulled down and put back up was a very smooth operation. Tables in the tents were rearranged at the next camp as they were left at the previous camp. In addition, the toilets were well managed as were the showers, which is very comforting as a solo female traveller.
We saw lots of animals and received in depth information from the guides on the workings of the eco system. I have never felt so connected to the earth, or touched by just how hard all involved worked to make this happen."

"Excellent welcome where the format of the lodge was explained. Bit of a surprise to cross the river by boat to get to the camp.
Very good drive with John and Benius and had sundowners on the first day where we saw so many animals and an excellent view.
Opted for the walking tour on my last day which was brilliant - again guided by John.
Very well-run establishment by Daudi and the team, with excellent service and a very relaxed feel with excellent facilities. Was a lovely way to end my holiday."

I did have to ask for some help to close the door that opened onto the garden properly, as I was on the ground floor and wanted it to be closed properly and this was done almost immediately.
Very helpful and friendly staff.
I ate dinner in the bar area and it was delicious with friendly staff, excellent food and a good atmosphere.
Breakfast was superb - excellent selection."
