Superb African Experience
Zambia between 20 Mar 2009 and 30 Mar 2009
"Kudos for the excellent mix proposed (4 nights at Kapani. 3 at Kakuli and 2 at Tongabezi). It was the main ingredient for the success of our trip and enabled us to experience very well organized safaries (walking, river and driving) in southern Luangwa prior to relaxing near the falls.
Zambia was an excellent choice: The nature is majestic during the wet season, the wildlife superbe. The people in all three places were very professional, knowledgeable, genuinely kind, polite and pleasant. We had a great time!
Suggestions for improvements:
You are doing an excellent job, however, if you wish to expand your services to clientelle outside the UK, you need to examine alternative ways to get your clients to Zambia."

"The Nut House was just great. The service by our valets was outstanding. The whole Tongabezi team is very professional.
Big variety of activities. Due to our brief stay, we have just been to the falls, overflew them with a helicopter and visited the Livingstone museum.
One comment regarding the food; it was not to the level of Kapani/Kakuli; some further effort should be made with respect to the cusine."

Three remarks:
1. Our mobiles were "dead" in Zambia. When we expressed our desire to contact our folks at home nobody seemed to properly care. We were not provided with access to the lodge's communication facilities. In our view that would be a rather "standard" service.
2. Walking safaries were less and shorther than anticipated.
3."Alternative" activities are not encouraged. After 4 nights at Kapani we felt that we had just enough of driving safaries and we would like to be presented with the possibility of something else, e.g. visiting local communities. For exemple, upon arrival in Tongabezi Lodge we were presented with a variety of activities and we organized our programme with the help of the relevant manager."
