My Jun 2024 South Luangwa trip
Zambia between 30 Jun 2024 and 12 Jul 2024
"None of us on the trip had ever enjoyed a holiday more and we are all seasoned travellers with experience of safaris elsewhere.
The fact there was a maximum of 4 persons per vehicle was a big plus point for us. We would particuarly commend Megan who was always cheerful patient and enthusiastic when finalising our schedule and answering our many queries.
All the arrangements worked seamlessly, a great credit to her organisation. Her considerable knowledge of Zambia gave us great confidence that we were booking the right trip and that confidence was fully borne out in practice.
The only downside is how to choose another safari holiday that will live up to these standards. All our expectations were met and in many cases exceeded.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
No other than expand your wonderful services to other continents"

Big Lagoon Camp
"Big Lagoon Camp review"

"The view over the lagoon was fabulous both from the central part of the camp and our chalets.
Although more remote from Nick & Jen's supervision the staff were just as attentive and the food as good as at Tafika.
The wildlife at the lagoon was easy and fascinating to view. It may look from our wildlife sightings that we saw fewer mammals but that ignores the wonderful bird life from raptors to bee eaters. All spectacular and not too difficult to photograph"

"We loved the two storey nature of our chalet and the views it afforded.
The bird life was particuarly interesting including a voracious fishing party. Lots of cranes, storks and herons"

Mwamba Bushcamp
"Mwamba Bushcamp review"
3 nights
Arrived

"We had found our rooms/chalets in the other camps well appointed and comfortable but the rebuild of Mwamba took bush luxury to a new level.
The new rooms and outside shower and bathroom arrangements were beautifully designed and built. Lots of charging points, tables and chairs (something lacking in other places particuarly when mosquito nets make beds difficult to sit on during the evening). The tables are also particuarly necessary on safari to find a place for all the clobber of cameras, binoculars, hats and even for the morning gloves and scarves.
The new covered deck was a super place to eat, meet and watch wildlife, including an elelphant that almost wanted to join us up there.
The camp manager Emma was particuarly delightful, really on top of her game in organising the camp, managing the staff and ensuring we all had a good time."

Kaingo Camp
"Kaingo Camp review"
2 nights

"Probably the best base we had for wildlife sightings.
The camp was very well appointed and comfortable. Having a bath was lovely but the ladies in chalet 2 were reluctant to use it due to the total lack of privacy from guests walking to adjacent chalets.
It was great to meet Christine, the Executive Chef responsible for the lovely food produced here and at Mwamba. The picnic lunch she organised for us under a sausage tree was a really special and unexpected treat."

All the staff were warm and welcoming. The excellent quality of the food was a delightful suprise. Really innovative, healthy and well prepared meals that one would never believe could be produced in the bush miles from any supplies other than their own vegetable garden"
