"Expert Africa are great.
We arrived after the long flight to Cape Town to be met by a smiling driver, this model was repeated at each destination.
All the hotel rooms booked for us were lovely and when we had a problem with our return flight being cancelled EA sorted out transfers for us seamlessly."

Ilala Lodge
"Lovely Ilala Lodge"

"Ilala Lodge is the closest hotel to Victoria Falls but is still a 10-15 minute walk away. The cost to get into the Falls was a bit of a surprise at $55 each but the experience is amazing.
The sales guys trying to sell you stuff on the way is a bit of a hassle but they are harmless enough, just trying to make a living.
The hotel is delightful and the restaurant for breakfast and dinner very good. We booked the sunset cruise on the Ra-Ikane and it was brilliant. A small wooden boat, there were 8 of us plus the captain and a chap serving drinks and snacks. The captain was very knowledgeable about the wild life and the Falls, and really enhanced the experience.
We went for a walk but felt quite hassled with everyone wanting to sell us something, we were told later that if you say you are from Zimbabwe they leave you alone.
Thehotel has 2 pools which are great for catching some sun.
Staff were friendly and helpful. We had to keep our windows shut when not in the room as the baboons can be a pest. We saw 2 hippos on the lawn after the cruise just happily eating the grass."

"Nehimba was amazing. The food at each meal is a set menu with no choice which was fine for us but may not suit everyone. Our guide MT was incredibly knowledgable and we had him to ourselves for most of the game drives which all included snacks and cold drinks or sundowners.
The variety of wildlife was fabulous and MT was really expert at finding it. We almost never saw another vehicle and when we did it was from the same lodge."

"Lovely Hotel full of lovely staff"
4 nights
Arrived

"This is a lovely little hotel, the rooms are great with a sea view of passing whales. When we were there, they were recovering from a water contamination problem affecting the whole area. They were scrupulous about providing us with drinking water.
There is no bar as such, but they do have a well stocked honesty bar on each floor.
Breakfast, taken in the reception area, was first class.
There is building work next door which will add 11 rooms to the 7 or 8 they have at present. I hope this will not dilute their friendly, helpful and efficient attitude."

We had a mountain view room which looks out over the harbour and Table Mountain. The room is a very good size and has a sitting area with sofa and chairs so feels like a suite.
Breakfast is an extensive cold buffet with tasty hot options. We also ate in the restaurant one evening and were not disappointed.
The staff are friendly and helpful."
