"Puku Ridge was very flexible with eating times.

We could have breakfast, lunch or dinner when it suited us best. Compared to the lodges with fixed times, this was a big plus."

"Quite a difference between our first stop at Puku Ridge and Tafika. But this doesn't mean that we did not enjoy it.

Overall still a good to excellent experience.

The number of charging points in the tent was too low (only one USB connector)."

"Canoeing was a little bit disappointing. Apparently, they changed the location from one of the narrower channels to a very open and wide channel. For me it was identical to the main river.

Prior to the trip I watched videos from previous years and I would have definitely preferred the narrower channels.

Food in all other lodges of our trip was better. Old Mondoro's food was only average with respect to variety and taste.

But the forest around Old Mondoro was very beautiful."

"Very high flexibility with activities. Excellent food with nice surprises for lunch and diner locations.

Looks like guest do usually not get a fixed guide throughout their stay and guides get assigned when you decide about you activity. All guests (and guides) we talked to about this did not like it since guide and guests need to re-familiarize again and again.

Fortunately enough, we insisted to keep the same guide for all our activities."
