Okavango Experience
Botswana between 27 Nov 2013 and 8 Dec 2013
"As usual Expert Africa provide a first class service
Megan's advice was invaluable and her efficiency is second to none
I greatly enjoyed this trip.
Footsteps across the Delta was outstanding.
There were a lot of flights and long waits at airports which I found very tiring, but worth it. On the way out I wish I had stayed for a night at Maun to recover before starting the safari."

Lagoon Camp
"Ostentatious Camp in Beautiful setting"
3 nights
Arrived
1 Dec 2013
"The comparative grandeur of Lagoon Camp came as something of a shock after Footsteps across the Delta. The enormous rooms are beautifully situated by the water, but seemed to me to be ostentatious and ill fitted to a wilderness setting.
Food was excellent, but the camp lacked atmosphere.
The guide and tracker were good at tracking, but a little less communicative than at other camps.
When I arrived I was told that the camp offered four activities - game drives, fishing , walking and boat trips. However it was difficult to persuade them to provide any thing other than a game drive and only after a lot of pushing was I 'squeezed in' on a crowded boat with another group.
It is a camp rule that guests must be escorted to and from their rooms after dark. On one occasion I was forgotten and had to shout for assistance. I felt that management and communication were not as good as elsewhere."

Kwara Camp
"Excellent safari at Kwara"
3 nights
Arrived
4 Dec 2013
"I very much enjoyed staying at Kwara camp. The tents had everything you could need while still retaining something of an'Old Africa' feel.
Guiding was good and we saw cheetah, elephant ,lion and much more. The guide (George) was a good communicator.
I was able to take a short mokoro trip and a walk.
The camp was well organised and well run and service and food were both excellent."

We saw male lions chase an intruder from their territory and encountered wild dogs whilst on foot as well as watching dung beetles a work.
The camp was well managed and everything ran smoothly. I cannot praise this camp enough.
The only negative that I can think of is that the Landcruisers are only open at the sides - the roofs and back are closed and this makes wildlife viewing and photography slightly more difficult. However since walking is the major activity this is no big deal.
A wonderful experince."
