The fires going in the evenings. The hot water bottles wrapped in the ponchos in the safari vehicles. The hot water bottles in the beds. The game drives. The picnic breakfasts. The sundowners. The animals and scenery we constantly saw."

Didn't love the trip to the Massai Village - I think learning about historical and present day Massai people is a good thing, but i didn't think this visit was a good way to do it. Maybe a talk by a Massai cultural professor at our camp might have been a way.

Great game drives - our guide (Kaneal, if I'm spelling it right) was very knowledgeable; he got us in very good places to observe what was happening - some domestic life with a pride of lions, the migration of about 400 wildebeest over the Mara River, a lone female lion eating a freshly killed wildebeest - lots and lots of birds --"
