The hot and the cold
Botswana and 1 other country between 11 Jun 2008 and 24 Jun 2008
The disappointment however was totally negated by the great time we had with Grant.
Bearing in mind that this whole trip was put together about five weeks before we went - everything ran like clockwork - how unusual for Africa !"

Ichingo Chobe River Lodge
"Ichingo as brilliant as usual !"

Kubu Lodge, Kasane (Not currently featured by Expert Africa)
"Kubu Lodge"
Beautifully located, staff charming and helpful - food delicious.
It would have been nice to have been able to sit on the terrace and finish our bottle of wine without feeling that we were keeping the staff waiting as they needed to lock the dining room - that being the only access to the terrace. Perhaps a staircase down to the lawn ?"

Private Mobile Camp, Botswana (this camp has since closed)
"Brilliant time at Santantadibe"
Again the game was a bit sparse - but it is the middle of winter - however 4 leopards in 5 days can't be bad ! The lions, 100 elephants, numerous giraffes and a smal herd of wildebeest added to the tally.
Grant and his team are so enthusiastic and professional about everything they do - you can't help but have a great time - whether scrouring the sage bush, cooking the fishing catch for lunch, eating Joyce's enormous meals amazingly produced on an open fire or watching the ellie's go by whilst luxuriating in a hot bucket shower !
We love it and we can't wait to go back !"

Thamo Telele
"Montsentsela Tree Lodge"
The accommodation is very comfortable and the food and wine served in generous measure !
It is a delight to be able to go for a stroll through the bush and come across Kudu, Zebra and Giraffe, etc"
Further, again because of the water our game drives were limited to one small area - we are sure that in a future visit we will see more !
The accommodation is luxurious - for a tent - and having hot water on demand is novel - the layout and 'public areas' were splendid.
The staff were helpful, cheerful, charming and de cho di monate !"
