My Nov 2022 Namibia trip
Namibia between 21 Nov 2022 and 9 Dec 2022
"My recommendation is only a 7/10 because of the extremely bad dirt roads. I have driven on dirt roads in Australia for 15 years, and they were never as relentless as these in Namibia. The 'B' roads were superb.
Expert Africa did a wonderful job in every way. After this experience I would not go to Palmwag and have more time near Etosha. I would prefer to stay out of the National Park and travel in daily. The area around Vingerklip was great and the drive through the Caprivi strip was captivating.
We saw many other animals other than those listed for each lodge including hare, springbok, kudu ostrich, mongoose, black face impala, red hartebeest, jackel, duiker, warthog, waterbuck, monkey, bushbuck, red lechwe, baboon, crocodiles, and reedbuck."

"Nice room and dining/bar area. Elephants broke the water supply both night we were there.
The staff were uncertain what to do about our shredded tyre until the manager intervened.
We searched all day with a guide and only found one old Rhino scat. It is difficult to believe that most of the Rhinos have not been poached during Namibia's recent drought."

"Old and tired, originally just functional buildings, set on a lite waterhole visited by many animals, including 6 Rhinos.
The roads away from the entrance road are terrible."

"Great staff, a real feel of wilderness with birds and animals coming around the lodge. Difficult drive in as we were advised by the lodge to drive ourselves."
