"The staff and the activities organised at Siwandu were excellent. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed.

The only thing that let the camp experience down was the food served in the evenings....the Chef tried too hard to serve fusion local/Western food and failed spectacularly...suggest he simplifies his menus to serve straighforward meat and vegetables."

"A spectacular location with a wonderful dining and bar area and great attention to detail with a friendly and attentive staff. The food was generally good.

Whilst the rooms were well appointed the design of the bathrooms outside the enclosed tented area at night was both inconvenient and also meant that visits to the bathroom during the night and in the morning were fraught with bat droppings/insects of various sizes everywhere.

We had a first class guide in Festo who enhanced our safari drives with both his natural wit and extensive knowledge of all aspects of the Ruaha."

"A wonderfully relaxing stay in paradise. With the exception of the porter who transported our luggage on arrival, the staff were friendly and attentive and enhanced our experience.

The food was good but would have appreciated an option to sample the wonderful seafood in a simple form...ie grilled prawns with salad and fried or grilled fish with potatoes or fries...there is no need to stack, drizzle and add sauces when the local ingredients are fresh and of the best quality. Keep it simple."
