"We didn't spend much time at Southern Sun, but we had a nice room service dinner, got a good night's sleep, had a very nice breakfast, ordered a taxi to the airport.

The room was clean, roomy enough, and we had a lovely view of the botanical gardens."

"All the people - the owner, the managers, the guides, and all the staff were super helpful, friendly, welcoming, and everyone had good English.

The bungalows are very private, very large and light, very well appointed. Zero complaints.

Our guide was so good (knowledgeable, very good English, very nice guy)! We had 8 safaris in 4 days, and we had a great time on every trip.

Some of the excellence of the safaris is due to Ruaha Park, of course. We saw 3 groups of lions, a leopard, many elephants and giraffes, so many birds (our guide was an excellent spotter, too)."

"A beautiful setting, marvelous views from the room and from the main building. Also we had hippos on the grounds every night, and an elephant on the last day!

The people were all superb. Friendly, welcoming, very good English, great service. A pleasure just to be around them. Food was excellent, every meal was delicious.

We went out with every guide at least once, and they were all great! Each trip out (8 in 4 days) was a treat!

The park is wonderful. A beautiful natural setting, and we saw lots of animals. We had a bit of a close call on a walking safari when we met a lone male elephant in must. The guides spotted him before he spotted us, we got off the trail and up on a small hill. The elephant gave a couple of quick feints toward us. We were very glad that we had the two guides with us.

The boat trip on the lake was a special treat. So many hippos, and so many birds!!"
