Fabulous trip
Botswana and 1 other country between 18 Sep 2018 and 6 Oct 2018
"Botswana was our first return to Africa after many years and we had high expectations. We have come back with great memories having seen some fantastic wildlife, met some lovely and interesting people and had a few adventures.
We feel we have had a good mix of camps and experienced the delta and other areas.
There is just the niggle that we were at Chitabe on the wrong days!
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
No, we were pleased with the service. Lucy asked lots of questions and listened to the answers!"

Chitabe Lediba
"Frustrated at Chitabe Lediba"

"We were disappointed with the way our stay at this camp was managed. There were 7 people in the vehicle with the guide on 4 drives out of 6 when other vehicles were leaving the camp with only one couple in them. This was not what we expected at this level and made the drives often frustrating in terms of communicating with the guide, positioning the vehicle for sightings, having some level of spontaneity with photo taking, etc.
When we registered our concern with the staff, we were told no other option available. This also meant that we were restricted by flight schedules on 2 morning drives which had to be curtailed to get back to the airstrip. We did not have time to do the drive the guide had mentioned to the edge of the concession where the rhinos and cheetahs are. We did drive in that direction on the last morning and skirted the area.
It was a great shame as it was a particularly beautiful part of the concession and the guide did say that, had we had more time, he would have driven in much further."

San Camp
"Magical (but windy!) San Camp"

"A beautiful camp, very different to the others. Felt even more remote and wild.
The location overlooking the Salt Pan is amazing.
It was very windy while we were there and the time of year might be a consideration for other visitors. The camp apparently closes mid October because of high winds but it seems they had arrived early this year. The weather did impact some of the activities but we enjoyed our stay enormously and the staff and guide made every effort to give us a great experience."

"Perfect end to the trip. The location is superb and the lodge is modern and stylish.
We couldn't get tired of the views from our room or communal areas. The rooms are truly luxurious.
Meals were a treat as much for the food as the setting. Lot of attention to detail.
Really enjoyable stay with just the right mix of activities and relaxation. The guest is king and it's wonderful."

Sightings report
We saw wild dogs, cheetah and cubs, leopard, lionesses and cubs all within 2 days along with an abundance of game and birds. We had a great mix of water and land activities.
Camp is comfortable and relaxed.
Very good guide, easy to be with, knowledgeable and adaptable."
