"Only stayed here one night before embarking on our safari adventure, nothing wrong at all, nice helpful staff clean tidy rooms and great food. I would stay here again for one or two nights no problem."

"Fanjove island was the perfect start to our holiday, a bit of an effort getting there but for the peace and tranquility well worth it.

We had 4 nights here so we could chill out after a long journey from the UK before our safari in the Selous. The island is very small and I think only accommodates about 12 guests. There are no bells and whistles here so if you want 24hr room service, good WIFI etc this is not for you, however you shouldn't really want for anything and the Staff here are lovely.

If you like fish everyday you're in for a treat but if you like the odd morsel of meat make sure you let them know at the beginning of your stay.

Our 4 nights here was for us the right length of time but I'm sure if you like the isolation and pure relaxation you could stay much longer."

"This was our first safari in Tanzania having been to South Africa, Namibia and Botswana previously.

The selous was so different in terms of the diversity of the terrain and it didn't disappoint. We had some great sighting aided by the passionate and knowledgable guides. Siwandu camp was superb and every member of staff seemed genuinely pleased to have us there. The food was great with plenty of choice.

Our luxury tent style accomodation was also very good although I think the lavatory needs to have a bit of a screen around it for a little bit of privacy.

Would definitely recommend Siwandu to anyone."

"The transfer to manta from the airport is an hour and a half and the last bit is rough track type roads with pot holes everywhere so be prepared for this, however it was nice to see the small towns on the way and how the Pembans live. The resort itself is great and the underwater room was amazing.

Staff were fantastic although I think we got unlucky with our assigned butler/waiter for our stay, Afaan wasn't a great english speaker and probably the worst waiter I've seen in my life, but he really tried hard to please despite his lack of talent!

Great facilities, with as much snorkelling, diving fishing etc as you want.

Good destination would recommend to others without doubt."
