My Aug 2022 trip
Botswana and 1 other country between 8 Aug 2022 and 22 Aug 2022
"This trip was three years in the planning and two years of patiently waiting for our borders to reopen. Expert Africa's team member Maruska AdyeRowe was amazing and very reassuring when we were hesitant to travel during COVID. All her planning and booking was flawless and we very much appreciate that she could make all our African dreams come true.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service: Everything was perfectly planned. Thank you."

Kwara Camp
"Kwara Camp review"
4 nights
Arrived

"Of our month long trip to Africa, Kwara Camp was our favourite. Set in a vast private concession in the northern Okavango Delta, it had such a great variety of ecosystems to explore. The camp is set on an island and the whole concession was only shared with one other camp.
Game drives are expertly run by a passionate guide and tracker who had no set timetable for returning to camp if sightings were abundant. One morning we were out for six hours because it was so eventful. There is a maximum of four guests in a vehicle and we were lucky to be the only two in ours for our entire four night stay. From wild dog puppies, lions including cubs, leopard and cheetah, we had all our wildlife hopes met. Shout out to George and Luke.
Our accommodation was a spacious and luxurious 'safari tent' raised above the ground with a private balcony and amazing views of the lagoon. The sounds at night were magical.
The staff and food matched the high standard of this camp along with the relaxed, friendly and authentic atmosphere.
We would not hesitate to return to this camp again."

Chobe Princesses
"Chobe Princesses review"
5 nights
Arrived
17 Aug 2022
"As our last stop on our month long safari, the Chobe Princess houseboat was the level of comfort we were craving for. With no more bumpy and dusty game drives, we could totally relax with smooth boat cruising on the calm waters of the Chobe River. The use of the photo boat with swivelling seats and a gimble for my camera made it even more comfortable.
The houseboat was beautiful and the food excellent. The Chef, Ellis worked pure magic from her kitchen. We stayed in a beautiful room at the bow of the boat. From the comfort of the king sized bed or chairs on our balcony, we could watch wildlife grazing by the river, hippos bobbing in the water and birds diving for prey.
The game drives (cruises) were amazing. Lots of wildlife including lions to be seen from the water. The huge amount of elephants and their antics at Elephant Bay were a favourite along with several water crossings during which only the tips of trunks could be seen. This is a great location for bird watching too with a vast variety seen.
The Chobe Princess offers three optional game drives per day. As a photographer, I would prefer two with extended times. I'm sure this would have been negotiable but we were hesitant to ask as we were not the only persons this would affect.
This was our second time wildlife cruising on the Chobe River and we would not hesitate to do it again."

Sightings report
African Bush Camps certainly have hand picked their staff perfectly. They make you feel like part of the family and don't miss any opportunity to make your experience personal and thoughtful.
We appreciated the informal return times from game drives and how sightings weren't rushed. The guides were both knowledgeable, skilled and fun. The only comment I would make is you do venture into the public accessible Moremi Game Reserve which can make sightings crowded. We much rather sticking to private areas where sighting protocols are followed and the comfort of guests and wildlife is ensured.
This is our fourth stay in an ABC camp and we would not hesitate to stay in another."
