"Beautiful hot spots due to a lots of reasons.

First, this is a cottage which leads into the Afrikaner style atmosphere historically speaking. Not Southafrican , I mean Afrikaner. The cottage is situated along the Orange river in the core of a oasis for river birds and vegetation.

Superb to birdwatching at the sunset ( we did it ) and to go into African mood. The owner was extremely warmful and kind : as we came back from the park, we were in a terrific late. She waited for us and helped us to recover after a long trip. The furniture is gorgeous, a touch of the house Afrikaner lived in in the past. And the surrounding area is very calm. Breakfast superb !

I do think this is the right place to start understanding where you are arriving here."

"Xaus is a magical place and mainly a superb ecosystem. Here it is possible to experience what wilderness is and what a pristine habitat is. I think that a German expression can explain this feeling at best : Sein und Zeit. At Xaus you can perceive the slow running of time just around and inside you, that is what we called evolution. And at the same time you can learn that wild nature is freedom, and freedom is respect.

We got the meeting point with a terrible late and I ashamed of it. Regardless of our mistake ( that it was due not to an unrespecful attitude but to the fact that along the road we were overwhelmed by the Kgalagadi ) mr Anthony received us in so kind manners and understanding! I want to express all my respect and estimation to all the staff : people who teach us as Europeans what it means to be a human being. A special mention is due to the San staff and trackers. It is always complicated to face the plight of a nation and I was sufficiently informed about their plight to enjoy every single words from them. I am grateful of their acceptance of me and I hope to write my best to pay them the respect they deserve. A terrific lesson of dignity.

But what describes Xaus is the capacity of the spot to show the future. A comprehensive vision of humans and animals and habitats , a new thinking of ourselves ( together ) that we have just started to comprehend and moving toward.

"The place is incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed a fantastic guide and tracker , mr Tab Tshiamo.

The feeling here is that we we were in the kingdom of lions. The presence of the cat was everywhere but i personally did not

Experienced what it was on the way in Tanzania : no one has a rifle or a AK47. What this people taught us is learning to ménage a coexistence with big cats and predators. Sometimes scary ( wow ) but inspiring . We did love game drives with Tab. And thank to him ( please note thank to him ) we saw a CARACAL. Mr Cistrena could film it and this video will be a strong part of our reportage for LA STAMPA Italian newspaper .

A special mention to the master chef : Mrs Patience Buno. She would be worth working in Kensington, London , because her talent is impressive."

"The director mr Mpho Steven Kaneli was so kind and akin to hear of our project ! So professional but also so great in sharing his stories about Polentswa 's wildlife and habitat . The cold was really freezing and it was so funny to cope with. This is very comfortable accommodation but not too much to luxurious. The right measure and the tents are OK to taste pans in Kgalagadi .

A magical night around the fire with the staff and a professional photographer from Pretoria listening to lions' takes in this part of the park. Uncomfortable lesson of slow journalism and human feelings. Personally I did understand what lions are here for Polentswa people. Here too mr Tab Tshiamo led us in two terrific game drives. As he puts is, it was SUPER SUPER."
