A wonderful wildlife holiday
Namibia between 6 Dec 2012 and 23 Dec 2012
Some of our experiences - tracking rhinos at Desert Rhino Camp, dinner in the Boma at Damaraland Camp, finding elephant shrews at Erongo and tracking leopard and cheetah at Okonjima - have left us with everlasting memories !"

"Nice hotel but out-of-the-way location."

Mushara Lodge
"A lovely lodge conveniently placed for Etosha"
Okaukuejo Camp
"A wonderful place to stay in Etosha"
Nonetheless, we wish we had stayed here an extra night."
Dolomite Camp
"An interesting place to stay"
A golf cart can be called to transport you - but you may have to wait a while for it to arrive (over 10/15 mins). The restaurant staff were delightful and tried their very best. We went on one organised game drive from the lodge and our guide, Gabriel, got us to the Klippan waterhole at exactly the right time to see 3 different black rhinos come for their evening drink, one after the other - fantastic !"
Desert Rhino Camp
"A wonderful experience at a wonderful camp"
This is a wonderful camp, of the highest standard in all respects. Our guides, Ali and Johann, and our Save the Rhino trackers, Martin and Denzyl, were caring, professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, the lodge staff were all friendly and could not have been more helpful.
Tracking black rhino on foot on 2 separate occasions was amazing, a never to be forgotten experience."
Damaraland Camp
"An excellent place to stay"
The camp is incredibly well-run by Maggie, all the staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and the happiest we came across - they seem to enjoy working at the camp as much as we enjoyed staying there, and they sang to us at every possible occasion !
Tracking desert-adapted elephants with our guide Pasqual was a wonderful experience. Maggie totally surprised us with a dinner in the Boma (she said we were going for an evening walk !) and a sunrise breakfast on a ridge overlooking the desert. Nothing was too much trouble and we would rate this camp as excellent."
Ondudu Safari Lodge
"A wonderful place for walks, birds + scenery"
Our chalet had a wonderful view over the rocky plain, and the outside bathroom had a canopy which meant we were as close as possible to nature but with shelter from the rain (which fell on both our evenings there). The relief managers on duty - Voibos and his wife, could not have been more helpful, and we enjoyed two fantastic walks with our guide Hal.
One the first walk, he very carefully guided us to the top of a very high kopjie for wonderful views of the area, and on the second, he managed to find us a klipspringer and 2 elephant shrews, plus innumerable bird species that we hadn't seen elsewhere. His knowledge of the local flora and fauna was excellent."
Okonjima Bush Camp
"Wonderful for getting close to big cats"
Our guide Rohan was one of the best we have ever had anywhere !! He was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and seemed to be as excited about seeing the animals as we were! We went with another guide, Gideon, to see the information centre of the Africat Foundation which runs Okonjima, and he gave us an extremely informative tour of the facilities.
The Bush Camp is a really comfortable, well appointed and well run camp, and with the superb guides here, we felt this was an excellent experience and a wonderful way to finish our wonderful holiday !"
A truly wonderful holiday !
Botswana and 1 other country between 17 Feb 2008 and 2 Mar 2008
We were very happy with the whole experience and would certainly use Expert Africa again for future trips."
Avani Victoria Falls
"perfect location for visiting Victoria Falls"
The main buffet restaurant gave a good choice of foods. We ate one night in a smaller restaurant on-site and although the food was o.k. ,the restaurant looked a littlle shabby and in need of re-decorating. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful."
Little Kwara (Not currently featured by Expert Africa)
"A truly wonderful safari experience."
David and G&T always managed to get us in the right place at the right time ! We rarely saw any other jeeps, and when we did, we were always the first jeep to arrive and the last to leave. As well as seeing the predators, a further highlight was a long boat trip on board the double-decked pontoon boat.
I cannot praise this camp highly enough and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants an exciting and meaningful safari. We would certainly consider returning to this camp in the future."

Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp
"An informative and comfortable safari."
The concession seemed rather small, so that most drives seemed to take us around the same areas which we came to recognise. We enjoyed a long mokoro ride, but unfortunately the motor boat was out of commission and that was a disappointment.
There was a new management team in place and Grant could not have been more helpful. The food and service at this camp were really top rate, and our "butler" Diana was charming and efficient. A highlight was having a sundowner standing in the waters of the delta - magical !"
Sandibe Safari Lodge
"Excellent game drives at this friendly camp"
Our room had a wonderful outside decked area overlooking the delta, although the linens/towels etc were a little shabby. The management here were all friendly and helpful.
However, we were disappointed that, as in Nxabega, the motor boat was not available (these were both CC Africa camps)."
Deception Valley Lodge
"A pleasant safari on the edge of the Kalahari"
We had a huge storm on the day we arrived and unfortunately we did not see many animals. Our guide Adrian, together with his bushman tracker Sami, could not have tried harder to find game for us. We didn't see any predators but eventually did see a variety of herbivores and we were lucky enough to see porcupines.
A highlight was a walk in the bush with Sami and a young bushman, to show us some of their traditional ways.
Adrian and Vanda were extremely welcoming and caring hosts."
