We try hard to explain the range of options to our travellers, whatever the trip; we're sorry if we fell short here. We tried hard to find a good beach option for these travellers, within their budget constraints and what was available at the time. However, clearly we hadn’t understood the importance of ‘visiting a town’ for their trip.
It’s a good point: most of Zanzibar's best beach locations are a distance from Stone Town, and this is something that we’ll flag up more clearly to enquirers in the future.

The place itself was lovely and the staff were extremely attentive. However, we rarely received our food at the same time and meas were often cold!"
Had we understood this, we would have suggested a Zanzibar trip which include a night or two in Stone Town, or we would have offered to adapt the cross-island transfers to allow these travellers to spend time in Stone Town en route to/from the beach.
