"Very well managed game park. Maybe a bit "managed", but we saw a lot here.
We could just sit on the verandah and watch the wildlife passing by. Perfect!

"Really enjoyed Ongava. Location, guide, room and food were great.
Rhino, lion, giraffe, etc. in the park but a bit short of antelope varieties. Drive into Etosha is a bit long but worth it.
A couple of issues: the place has been taken back by owners from Wilderness. The owners were in evidence when we stayed but seemed to be throwing their weight around. The directors turned up to a lion sighting and were happy to break their own rules about number of vehicles at a sighting (they were the 5th vehicle). They were also very noisy at the evening meal. The directors need to think about putting their guests first."

The owners of the Ongava Reserve apologised for disturbing these guests' stay. They explained that they had been showing a group involved in a new development project around the reserve and lodges, introducing them to as much as possible within a 24-hour period. The group didn't stay at Ongava Lodge, but did take their dinner there, and it did mean there were more vehicles than usual at one wildlife sighting.

These travellers contacted us separately regarding the issues they encountered at Camp Kipwe. These included drainage issues caused by a faulty water pump, staff trying to elicit extra tips, a staff member requesting the guests transport something personal to someone in Swakopmund for them, and a mix up over the drinks bill. The feedback was passed onto Camp Kipwe who swiftly responded with an apology and details of how each issue had been investigated, dealt with and rectified to ensure there is no reoccurrence for future guests.

"A lovely break in our trip and a chance to take a breather in a european style hotel.
We got a "standard room" which was as far away from reception as possible with no view. It would have been nice to be upgraded as the hotel was not full.
The Ocean Cellar restaurant is excellent."
