Our 1st Safari which exceeded expectations.
Zambia between 10 Sep 2017 and 20 Sep 2017
"We have said it all in our reviews, but would close by saying that Expert Africa coupled with Robin Pope Safaris gave us a fantastic and memorable Safari which we shall always remember with great affection.
We have travelled extensively around the world but this trip is by far the best we have ever enjoyed!
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
No improvements as we thoroughly enjoyed your service, the information, advice and support for this our first Safari-well done!
We would not hesitate to travel with Expert Africa and Robin Pope Safaris in the future."

"From Nkwali Fred, our guide and camp manager, took us on a morning game drive to the transfer point-no time was wasted travelling, the safari experience continued and we were sad in a way to leave Fred, but our next camp beckoned so we said our goodbyes to Fred and hello to the guides from Tena. We were greeted by Jenny the Camp host and soon installed in our second accommodation which was Tented Chalet. We had seen the Chalet on the internet and when we arrived we found the accommodation, layout and comfort exceeded our expectations once again!
Our guides who were Bertrum, John and Chris, were all very knowledgeable and with Jenny made us very welcome and our stay a memorable one. Our Safari experience was just as we had hoped and we saw many Lions, Leopards, Elephants and Buffaloes. We had been given a record entitled "Mammals of the South Luangwa" and also " Birds of the South Luangwa-checklist"by Shannon at Nkwali and we ticked off the animals and birds that we saw in our record as we came across them. Unfortunately we saw so many species of birds that we lost track in our record but managed to record the memorable ones.
As well as the Big 4 ( Rhinos were not present in our locations in Zambia) we saw wonderful animals-Hippos, Hyenas, Giraffes, Zebra and other smaller animals together with many varieties of birds. We had a great time at Tena and would highly recommend that camp and accommodation also. Our Guides were Bertrum and John and they were first class guides who went the extra mile to make our holiday experience a memorable one. Guide Chris is a comedian and he was great fun also,- he never stopped laughing when we were in his company!"

"The ultimate safari experience!"

"Once again we embarked on a game drive transfer which was most enjoyable-lots of wildlife to see and we met our guide Julius for the first time. We were amazed at his depth of knowledge and this was evident throughout our stay in the Robin Pope Camp at Nsefu. We were greeted by Ruth who made us feel welcome from the start-as did the other hosts in our previous camps. The accommodation was superb and again exceeded our expectations.
Whilst at Nsefu,we were fortunate to see a number of " live Kills", although not a pleasant experience, they reflected how nature provides the animals with a food chain. We were very fortunate to have an experience involving a Leopard and her young cub try to have a meal from an Impala killed earlier, only to be warned off by a pack of Hyenas who in turn saw of a pack of wild dogs only to be confronted by 5 or 6 lions who took one look at the scene and went on their way. Julius and his sidekick Richard, who was the torch man as it was night time, decided to follow the lions and we were on the scene when they trapped and killed an Impala.
During our safari experience we saw a Leopard climb a tree with his/her pray (yet another Impala) and scenes involving a baby Hippo being devoured by Lions and Hyenas and followed by the vultures etc. Other Kills included a Buffalo, although we arrived after the poor animal had been killed so we did not witness this event. Many experiences were achieved in the 3 camps which exceeded our expectations- we could not have had a better Safari experience. One of our fellow travellers who had had many years experience on Safari said we were extremely fortunate to have experienced so much on our first Safari - Thanks to all at Robin Pope Safaris-Zambia!"

We had done a lot of research before choosing Expert Africa who advised us to travel to the Robin Pope camps and we were not disappointed, rather we found the experience exceeded our expectations.
We went on Safari both day and night with Fred who was very knowledgeable and we saw a great variety of wildlife. Food was great and was better than we expected and the informality of the camp suited us very much.
We would recommend commencing a safari experience at this camp."
