Unforgettable!!
Tanzania between 18 Sep 2008 and 28 Sep 2008
Expert Africa lives up to it's name. Expert in the help and advice we were given when planning this trip. Expert in booking and making all the necessary arrangements, which went very smoothly, and expert in picking out superb camps for us to stay at. We are not quite sure how we got an upgrade at Sand Rivers, but thank you anyway, it was wonderful.
We had the pleasure of meeting and spending some of our game drives at Mwagusi with Marushka and Peter, who were on a fact finding trip for Expert Africa. We hope that we were able to give them some of our impressions of Mwagusi at the time."
Feedback response
Ed: Maruska and Peter are two of the Expert Africa team, both of whom were making their first research trips to Tanzania since joining us - although many of our travellers will know Maruska for her expert knowledge of Namibia, Botswana and Zambia.

Chloe led a very friendly and efficient team, and again she was always on hand to organise every thing we wanted to do. The tents were very comfortable, with all mod cons. Giraffe were frequent visitors around the tents, but we always felt safe with the Masai ascari escorts.
As well as very good game drives, especially with Dennis, we had 2 boat safaris, which brought us into close contact with the bird life along the river, fish eagles being a particularly impressive sight. Lots of crocs and hippos too."
Sand Rivers Camp
"Sand Rivers- ultimate luxury"
Again good food with dinner in different locations each night, pre- dinner drinks in the presence of the resident bush babies. Game drives took us through varied landscapes and vegetation, and bush breakfast, cooked over a camp fire, overlooking the lake, was unforgettable. The guides tried very hard to find us a leopard and the hunting dogs, but we were unlucky. However, we did not go home disappointed we saw loads of other wonderful game, and we understand that it's all down to luck.
A truly memorable experience."

We had a superb Banda overlooking the dry river bed, the honeymoon suite, we found out the day we left!! It was very comfortable, with all mod cons although the lighting at night was a little dim, but very rustic African. We particularly enjoyed the lovely candlelit dinners under the stars, in a different location each night. The food was very tasty and imaginative, but not always as hot as it might have been, (difficult we appreciate under the conditions).
Our game drives were excellent with friendly and knowledgable rangers. The bush breakfasts were great fun. We soon realised the importance of being escorted to and from our Banda at night, with regular sightings of game in and around the camp. On the day we left we were unable to get into our Banda after breakfast as a large elephant was standing right in the doorway!!"
