"The hotel and quality of accommodation exceeded our expectations. The interior decoration was lovely and we particularly the liked the wealth of historical prints and artefacts dotted around the hotel. The standard of food in the hotel restaurant was also great and exceeded our expectations.

"Wonderful location and the staff and the service they provided was exemplary. Indeed it was the friendliness. professionalism and hospitality of every single member of staff we met that made our stay at Xigera so memorable and enjoyable. Everyone from the managers downwards worked together to create a very warm and welcoming environment.

The rooms, common areas and food were good and in line with expectations for accommodation at this price point. The outlook and privacy of our rooms were both wonderful. Perhaps the common areas could have been enlivened with a bit more art work and/or local craft pieces. The pool deck area was quite small for the number of guests and while we would have welcomed and enjoyed the opportunity to sit out there in the afternoon, all seats and loungers were invariably fully occupied.

The activities provided were great and the standard of guiding excellent."

"Generally very happy with this accommodation and great location next to a watering hole.

Was disappointed that we were unable to go and see the San rock art, due apparently to long grass growth making visiting too dangerous. Would have been helpful if we had been made aware of this beforehand, as the only activity was therefore jeep safari.

This could have become rather repetitive, but the standard of guiding from Baba was great and we actually really enjoyed seeing what the same local pride of lions was getting up to each day. He was also very good at positioning the jeep in the very best position for photography, and for explaining where he was planning to take us each day and why."
