Zambia 2008
Zambia between 6 Jun 2008 and 17 Jun 2008
"This was our first safari and we were fortunate to see Lions/leopard/wild dogs in addition to Elephants, Baboons etc. So we consider ourselves very lucky indeed. We had not visited Zambia before but would certainly visit it again.
I think choosing more than one place to visit within Zambia was a great suggestion by Expert Africa and their recommendations for accommodation were excellent. Thanks to their suggestions we sampled very different experiences in each camp.
Suggestions for improvement:
If you sold holidays to all parts of the world we would not use anyone else."

Sausage Tree Camp
"Sausage Tree Camp review"
3 nights
Arrived
12 Jun 2008
"When we first pitched up at Sausage Tree we knew that they would have to be something special to match Nwakli so on the first evening outing when we didn't see many animals we were regretting our decision to move on. However, the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. anything you wanted they would arrange. they arranged two superb meal suprises for us and the other guests - one a bush dinner and the other lunch in the Zambezi (Yes in the Zambezi).
We had two canoe rides and met lots and lots of hippos which was a bit scarey but the guides were so professional and we never felt threatened even though we did have a bit of a stand off with one Hippo who did not want to let us past. A great time had by both of us."

Tongabezi
"Tongabezi review"
2 nights
Arrived
15 Jun 2008
"Tongabezi was somewhat different to the two previous camps as although it was in a Park and did have a few Hippos running around it felt less like being in the bush.
The meals here were superb and the quantity and quality of food excellent - full breakfasts with so much choice. We did feel it was more formal at this "camp" and we missed the atmosphere of being sat with other guests at lunch and dinner especially as we were all sat together for pre and post dinner drinks. A more formal choice of destination."

We went on a number of walking safaris as well as in the jeep and it was just fascinating to learn so much about the animals in this regard. who would have thought that Lion Dung would be interesting!
I would highly recommend Nkwali as a destination - we didn't want to leave!"
