A fantastic trip to Namibia
Namibia between 23 Apr 2016 and 5 May 2016
"Although I have tried to provide some constructive criticism, we loved our trip to Namibia and would repeat it in a heartbeat.
It was one of our finest international trips ever.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
Maruska did a terrific job & we thought our trip was fairly priced. We appreciated getting a copy of Chris's guidebook as well."

"The staff & camp atmosphere made this our best in-camp experience.
Gwen, Rose, Rhianna, our guide Abner & others made it a wonderful place to stay."

"We must rate the experience extraordinary in spite of some management observations or actions that were less than excellent. The general manager & visiting food manager were sometimes less than fully engaged in their interactions with guests. The later seemed much more attentive to pilots staying over than he did to some guests.
Door closing practices in our room (at turndown) were a bit confusing to us but 2 nights we ended up having a gerbil in our room (who would dash under the platform bed). We did not find this particularly disturbing but my husband went for assistance our first night The visiting manager did not appear to be successful but seemed confident we would have no other problems. On night 2 (somewhat cute) Mr. Gerbil was back in our room. We successfully chased him out. By day 3 one of our ceiling fans was not working. Eventually we were told that would require an "outside" service.
Upon our arrival in our next camp we discovered that Mr. Gerbil had made considerable headway into a woven cloth bag with bagged snacks enclosed."

"Wonderful deck overlooking waterhole & animals. Amazing views of animals in proximity to the camps.
Great guide & outings into Etosha National Park.
Pleasant dinners with others, great meal accommodations (veggie) & especially great manager (Chris)."

"Extremely remote camp that presents unpleasant traveling to the Dunes and back.
Somewhat less than welcoming arrival at reception but staff encounters improved over stay. Austere conditions (even in May) suggest that no more than a 2 night visit is needed at this camp."

Steps to room were a bit challenging. Fully open shower in middle of room is unappealing. Troubles with TV led to 2 visits downstairs by my husband and 2 up by person on duty. Split of champagne on in-room fridge menu required trip by my husband to bar. Our window was on back of kitchen so there was noise in early morning. And person on check out had difficulty coming to conclusion on our bar charges."
